Forget smart pills, here’s a natural cure for a better memory
We had to take a quick look at the calendar today just to check it was June – because when we heard the news about the new daily “smart pill”, we thought for a minute it was April 1 and it was an April Fool’s Day joke!
Sounds scary? Well we think so. But American and European food and drug administrators obviously don’t share our fears because they have given this controversial technology the go-ahead.
These capsules, developed by California-based Proteus Digital Health, contain a minute micro-chip that transmits an individual’s personal details and as the tablets pass through the body, they are able to transmit personal details to electronic devices which can read the signal. Effectively this would end the need for passwords, paper forms of ID (such as passports) and eliminating the need for us to recall countless codes and security answers.
The sensor works from inside the stomach and is powered by the stomach’s acid. According to manufacturers, each pill is designed to move through the body at the normal process of digestion, and according to engineers working on the device, it can be taken every day for up to a month.
Motorola executive, Regina Dugan, once dubbed ‘America’s smartest engineer’ has now agreed to champion the pill.
Now we realize in this day and age that we all have a lot of passwords and security information to remember – all of which challenges our memory. And as we age, our memory can let us down from time to time.
Natural memory boosters
So wouldn’t you like to think there was a completely natural way to boost memory? Well there is!
We know yoga can sharpen the mind – new research tells us so. Remember our blog earlier this month? We hope so!
Then of course, there’s the super brain tonic, brahmi, a herb used by ayurvedic practitioners for more than 3,000 years. One of NaturalCures’ very own experts, Rakesh Modi blogged all about brahmi’s powers as a natural cure for memory loss back in March. We also love the warming spice, nutmeg, as another natural cure for brain fog – and remember the NaturalCures diet of brain-boosting foods we shared with you in January, right here on the blog.
We told you to stock up on pumpkin seeds, blackcurrants, tomatoes and avocados among other things!
To really help sharpen your powers of recall though, we can’t recommend highly enough Kevin Trudeau’s Mega Memory CD set, which can help you improve your memory, not by 100 per cent or even 200 per cent – but by a staggering 500 per cent.
It’s called the knowledge bank and it stores information like your name, the alphabet, and even words to nursery rhymes you learned as a child and events in your life that you can never forget! Information in the knowledge bank is permanent.
